Thank you so much Linda for such kind words. I’m thrilled you love my work and it would be an honor to be a part of your site. Just let me know what you need from me :) Maggie

Here is my Painting of “Luna” its 30″ square. This is my blue eyed Overo Paint that I’ve had since he was three years old, he is twelve now. I love this horse deeply. He is in my soul. I always refer to him as my “dog horse”, because he is loyal like a dog,…

This is “Bianca” she is 30″square. I created three paintings with a kaleidoscope of color and motion filled backgrounds. The most important element in all my paintings is the eyes. Its the one feature I spend the most time on, because it is the eyes that engage you and tells the emotion of the subject.

Golden Luna

“Golden Luna” is 24″ by 30″ Just finished him. I’ve had this very ornate frame for a very long time. I found in an estate sale but its quite rough, and I need to repair it, fill in cracks & then I want to Gold leaf it. I think it will be magnificent once its…

Hi Maggie

Love this one of your horse, Luna. The movement and flowing mane are beautiful.
I love horses too.
A beautiful paint horse. I like how some paint horses have the bi-color mane.
Well they’re all beautiful. :)

Empty Space

“Valentino” is 24″ wide by 48″ tall. Its a nice size painting with Valentino anchoring and relaxing at the bottom of the Canvas. I have stared a lot at this painting asking wether or not to add something to that empty space, but each time I draw an image to place there, there is a…

Hi Maggie,

The composition is interesting. I can see what you mean about sort of wanting to fill that green space with something, yet it does seem just fine to be left alone.
I would vote to keep it as is.
Foals do lie down in sunny spots in pastures to rest for a bit. They sometimes stretch themselves out. Looks like the foal is just looking up from a rest.
I’m not quite sure about the orange outline. Sort of wanting it a little more of a subtle highlight/light on face. It works great on mane.
There my comments.
Do what the artist in you new calls. (well you’re already doing that) Cheers.

Thanks so much Lisa! I appreciate your comment. Sometimes you spend so many hours on a piece that you want to see how others see it. Hope you have a wonderful day!
